We are looking for a UI/UX-focused engineer with strong JavaScript skills who can design and implement intuitive, high-quality user interfaces. This role emphasises UI/UX craftsmanship combined with hands-on frontend implementation, focusing on usability, performance, and clarity at scale.

This is a full-time, on-site role based in our central Bucharest office (Calea Victoriei).

Responsibilities

UI/UX & Frontend Implementation

• Design and implement intuitive, user-friendly interfaces for a large-scale web platform
• Translate product ideas and user needs into clear, efficient UI/UX solutions
• Continuously improve usability, interaction flows, and visual clarity across the platform
• Implement UI components using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS with strong attention to detail
• Ensure strong performance, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility
• Identify and resolve UI/UX issues, inconsistencies, and friction points
• Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to refine user experience
• Balance design decisions with technical constraints and performance considerations
• Maintain consistency across UI patterns and interactions

Cross-functional

• Work closely with product and engineering teams to deliver high-quality user experiences
• Take ownership of UI/UX decisions and their implementation
• Use AI tools extensively to accelerate design, iteration, and development

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience working on web interfaces (UI/UX + implementation)
• Strong JavaScript, HTML, and CSS skills
• Proven experience designing and implementing user interfaces (not just coding specs)
• Strong understanding of usability, interaction design, and visual hierarchy
• Good understanding of frontend performance and browser behavior
• Ability to translate product requirements into clean, intuitive UI solutions
• Comfortable making heavy use of AI tools for design and development (required)
• Ability to take ownership of UI/UX decisions and implementation
• Strong attention to detail and product quality
• Senior-level mindset: pragmatic, responsible, and impact-focused

Nice to Have

• Experience working on high-traffic platforms (millions of users)
• Experience working with data-heavy or content-heavy products
• Experience with modern frontend frameworks (Solid, Svelte, Qwik, Vue, etc.)
• Background in product design or interaction design
