The Position
As a Senior Data & Analytics Manager, you will serve as the primary Power BI and analytics lead for the International Operations (IO) area, owning the strategic direction and delivery of the Power BI reporting portfolio. You will lead a team of BI resources, define and govern semantic model standards, and act as the central bridge between business units, the regional data & analytics teams and the Global Enterprise IT CDP (Common Data Platform) team who owns upstream data product delivery. The position will be based in Zurich Switzerland.

As a Senior Data & Analytics Manager, you will serve as the primary Power BI and analytics lead for the International Operations (IO) area, owning the strategic direction and delivery of the Power BI reporting portfolio. You will lead a team of BI resources, define and govern semantic model standards, and act as the central bridge between business units, the regional data & analytics teams and the Global Enterprise IT CDP (Common Data Platform) team who owns upstream data product delivery. The position will be based in Zurich Switzerland.
Responsibilities
Strategic BI & Reporting Ownership
- Define the IO Power BI reporting strategy, translating business priorities from in-market sales, frontline excellence, digital CE, and commercial operations into a structured BI delivery roadmap
- Act as the owner of the IO Power BI Reporting Centre of Excellence (CoE), setting standards, governance frameworks, and ways of working for semantic model design, report development and report maintenance and communications with regional data & analytics leads
- Steward the business-facing taxonomy for datasets so that data products, KPIs and reports are comparable and scalable, jointly with business units like Commercial Excellence and Digital & Customer Engagement
- Lead a team of BI resources to deliver, maintain, and improve the IO Commercial Insights & Analytics Power BI Insights Hub, overseeing the operation of semantic models and reports to ensure they remain scalable, reusable, and aligned with CDP data products
- CDP – Common Data Platform, a consolidated cloud database in SnowFlake
- Serve as the anchor point towards the Global Enterprise IT CDP team, clearly communicating IO reporting requirements and influencing the prioritization of data products that feed the Power BI layer
- Identify and evaluate opportunities to scale and centralize regional Power BI solutions; drive best practice sharing across regions
- Participate actively in key IO transformation initiatives, such as the Advanced Customer Engagement project to drive reporting layer directions
- For stand-alone analytics at small scale with focus on validating fast business cases and exploratory analytics, act as the end-2-end data & analytics owner
- Stay current with PBI platform developments, emerging analytics trends, and AI-assisted reporting initiatives, and actively introduce new approaches to enhance efficiency and quality
- Master's degree in Business Information, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field with strong analytics focus
- 8+ years of experience in business intelligence or data analytics, with a significant portion focused on Power BI solution delivery
- Proven track record of defining and governing Power BI semantic models and reporting portfolios in a complex, cross-functional environment
- Experience working in or alongside Enterprise IT data platform teams, with a clear understanding of how upstream data products feed BI reporting layers
- Strong strategic thinking ability, with a demonstrated capacity to translate business needs into structured BI reporting solutions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to engage and influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels
- Highly adaptable with the ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced and evolving operational environment
- Professional level written and spoken English
- Expert-level proficiency in Power BI, including semantic model design, DAX, Power Query, and dashboard development
- Strong understanding of data governance, data modelling concepts and how to structure semantic models for scalability and reusability
- Working knowledge of SQL sufficient to understand and validate upstream data products from CDP
- Familiarity with Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms as a data source context is an advantage
