Principal/Staff Frontend Engineer – React/Next.js vs. Tailwind, Shadcn - Amsterdam (AI Startup) [120k]

My client is a well-funded AI startup in Amsterdam. As one of the founding engineers, you will join a small, driven team where you will work directly with and report to the founders. They are building an AI-native product and are looking for someone who not only excels technically, but also has the drive to build, ship, and make an impact. The tech stack includes Python/Node.js, React/Next, AWS, and containerization with Docker/Kubernetes. You will be focused solely on the frontend (React/Next) and UX (Figma, Tailwind, Shadcn).

They are looking for a leader who takes the initiative, thoroughly understands problems before building a solution, and has a "getting things done" mentality. This is an opportunity to build, lead, and co-lay the foundation of the company.

Your profile:

• 5+ years of professional experience with React and Next
• 2+ years of experience in a leadership/principal role (e.g. tech leadership)
• Experience with an AI native product
• Experience with building scalable apps on cloud (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Experience with UX
• An entrepreneurial mindset
• You are pragmatic and understand that "good is good enough" to gain speed.
