The Business & Retail Banking (BRB) division is now strengthening the Data, Analytics & CIO organization further to accelerate the journey towards a more data driven and customer-centric bank. We are a team with highly engaged and skillful data and analytics professionals, and we are now looking for a Data Analyst, who will report to me, Magnus Klint, Head of Customer Insight Analytics.
About The Job
As a Data Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in driving initiatives within the area of data and analytics, like value driven analytical use cases, usage of new technical capabilities, and more. SEB is committed to accelerating its data and analytics journey, underscoring the imperative to mobilize and bolster expertise and execution capabilities.
Your primary focus will be around deepening our understanding of customer behavior, needs, and preferences. This entails identifying, analyzing, exploring, and interpreting trends and patterns within complex datasets through detailed data-driven analyses. Also, you will actively support internal stakeholders by proactively uncovering potential opportunities across various areas.
Further, you will be part of a center of analytical excellence dedicated to identifying business opportunities, exploring customer segments, product categories, and distribution channels, fostering a more data-centric and customer-focused way of working.
You'll also be an important part in building the new cloud-based data- and analytics platform, shaping our future environment aligning with SEB: s long-term strategic direction. That includes futureproofing of tools and data, but also a new way of working and ensuring competence needed. Adopting new AI technologies is a natural next step in how we work every day.
The position is in Arenastaden, Solna.
To thrive in this role, we believe you have:
- An academic degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Business Economics, or a related discipline, coupled with several years of hands-on quantitative analytics experience.
- Proficiency in cloud-based environments, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP), with a focus on data and analysis, is highly desirable. Additionally, familiarity with programming languages such as Python, R, and SQL for data analysis is advantageous.
- Prior experience with data visualization tools such as Looker or Tableau, with experience from financial services being a merit.
- The ability to effectively communicate, interact and present findings to stakeholders is of great importance. You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Swedish.
- Strong interpersonal skills are key for collaborating within our cross-functional teams and engaging with stakeholders. We value individuals who demonstrate dedication, proficiency, and a collaborative spirit in their work.
Do you want to be part of SEB?
It is our fundamental belief that inclusion and diversity is crucial for our future success. We strive to have an inclusive, value-driven culture where employees feel valued, respected, and involved irrespective of who they are, what they believe or where they come from.
Since we select candidates continuously, feel free to send in your application today via the link in this ad, but no later than 2026-03-31. If you have questions about the position, please contact Magnus Klint, [email protected], note that we will not process applications via email.
Please be aware that our final candidates undergo background checks, a process that includes for example identity control, verification of qualifications, credit checks, company engagements and history of crime. In some cases, we also apply random drug checks. During employment, employees within SEB can also expect to undergo recurring background checks.
SEB Sweden has a redeployment responsibility, which means that this position might be covered by internal redeployment.
