Senior Backend Engineer (Java | AWS | Kubernetes) – FinTech 🚀

📍 Location: Hybrid model, Cracow

We’re looking for an experienced Backend Engineer who goes beyond writing code — someone who takes full ownership of systems, from architecture to production.

🚀 Your role

• Design and develop high-performance backend services in Java (Spring Boot – WebFlux/MVC)
• Build systems handling large transaction volumes and real-time data streams
• Own the full lifecycle: architecture, development, CI/CD, deployment, and production support
• Work with Kubernetes (AWS EKS) to deploy and scale applications
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Frontend teams to deliver impactful features
• Implement effective monitoring, alerting, and observability (e.g., Grafana, OpenTelemetry)
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues with a strong ownership mindset
• Mentor other engineers and contribute to technical excellence across the team
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to enhance productivity and code quality

🧠 What we’re looking for

• 8+ years of experience in backend development with Java
• Strong experience with Spring Boot, REST/gRPC, and reactive programming
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and cloud environments (preferably AWS)
• Solid understanding of PostgreSQL and Redis
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and microservices architecture
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems and observability practices
• Security-first mindset and attention to system reliability
• Very good English communication skills

• Experience in FinTech, trading platforms, or crypto
• Familiarity with high-throughput, low-latency systems
