About ITRex

THE PLACE

ITRex - AI pioneers who build systems that actually work in the real world, not just in demos. We're 200+ people spread across the US and Europe, creating solutions for companies like P&G and Shutterstock. We keep it simple, build it right, and focus on what works.

THE PEOPLE

We're the kind of people who don't ignore messages in Slack, who jump in to help when you're stuck on a problem, and who offer solutions instead of blame when things go sideways. We believe in openness, accountability, and having each other's backs. No office politics, no hidden agendas - just people who care about doing good work together and supporting each other to get there.

THE ROLE

We are looking for a QA Engineer to join a high-scale product in the digital finance / blockchain domain.

Our client is a globally distributed tech company building high-load, security-critical solutions used by millions of users. The product ecosystem includes mobile, desktop, and web applications, with a strong focus on mobile.

You will own quality across the full release cycle, working closely with engineering, product, and stakeholders. Your work will directly impact the reliability and security of large-scale financial systems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform manual testing of mobile, desktop, web applications, and APIs (REST, GraphQL)
  • Design, execute, and maintain comprehensive Test Documentation
  • Use AI tools as part of the QA toolkit to enhance test coverage and efficiency
  • Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure product quality
  • Define and establish QA processes and best practices for new projects
  • Act as the sole QA when required, owning the end-to-end testing process
  • Contribute as part of a QA team, ensuring alignment with shared goals and standards
  • Work with product requirements together with the team during backlog refinement
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and provide input on quality-related risks

Requirements

Technical Skills

  • 4+ years of hands-on QA experience
  • Strong experience in manual testing across multiple platforms: Mobile applications (iOS/Android), Web applications, APIs (REST, GraphQL, etc.)
  • Experience working with traffic sniffers / proxy tools such as Charles Proxy, Fiddler, Proxyman, etc
  • Proficiency with AI tools integrated into QA workflows (e.g. Cursor, AI-assisted test case generation, automated defect detection, or exploratory testing support)
  • Ability to design, execute, and maintain comprehensive test documentation
  • Familiarity with bug tracking and test management systems (e.g., Zephyr, Qase, Test Trello)
  • Understanding of SDLC and QA's role within Agile, Scrum, or Kanban environments

Business & Collaboration

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with an ability to convey information clearly and concisely
  • Product-oriented and collaborative mindset, effective in Agile cross-functional environments
  • Strong attention to detail and ownership of quality
  • Ability to stay effective under deadlines and production pressure
  • Self-driven and proactive, able to operate independently within a defined framework
  • English proficiency: Upper-intermediate and above

Nice to have:

  • Experience with desktop application testing
  • Hands-on experience with AI tools (e.g., Cursor) in QA workflows
  • Knowledge of performance and security testing
  • Experience with AI/ML feature testing or validation

Benefits

Why people stay

First, the foundation:

  • Remote flexibility: Work where and how you work best - we trust you to deliver
  • Fair compensation: Competitive salary + benefits that matter (medical, learning)

Then, the growth:

  • Ownership opportunities: See a problem worth solving? Own it. We back smart risks over bureaucratic safety
  • AI enhancement: We leverage AI to make you faster and stronger - complementing your abilities, not replacing them
  • Learning investment: English classes, professional development
  • Career progression: Real paths up, not just sideways shuffling

Finally, the people:

  • Reliable teammates: No radio silence, no "not my problem" attitudes
  • Supportive culture: When you're stuck, people help. When things break, we fix them together
  • Human connections: Regular meetups, tech talks, and actual relationships beyond work

Curious? We are too. Let's talk
