This position combines operational leadership, technical governance, security and compliance oversight, and IT transformation leadership. The successful candidate will manage global IT operations, oversee key platforms and vendors, support regulatory compliance, and contribute to corporate change initiatives.

The role requires a technically credible leader who can operate both hands-on and strategically, collaborating closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure reliable and efficient IT operations across the organization.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Endpoint management via Intune / MDM (Windows, macOS, iOS, Android)
  • Governance of the Microsoft 365 platform (Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive)
  • Identity & access management using Entra ID, RBAC, and Conditional Access
  • Azure platform governance, including subscriptions, workloads, and DevOps coordination
  • Coordination of IT services across global locations (e.g., Norway, US, India)
  • Oversight of IT service management processes including incident, problem, and request management
  • Vendor management, procurement coordination, and licensing optimization

Support the organization’s security posture and regulatory commitments.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Alignment with ISO 27001 asset and control frameworks
  • Endpoint security oversight including EDR/XDR
  • Secure identity lifecycle and offboarding processes
  • Governance of Change Advisory Board (CAB) processes
  • Ownership of IT policies, documentation, and risk tracking
  • Maintaining endpoint compliance and operational security controls

The role requires the ability to work directly with auditors and translate technical controls into audit-ready documentation.

IT Transformation & Strategic Initiatives

Support and lead initiatives shaping the company’s IT landscape, including:

  • IT separation and integration related to mergers, demergers, or carve-outs
  • Azure platform and cloud governance strategy
  • Identity and system separation across business units
  • IT cost optimization initiatives
  • Governance of AI enablement tools (e.g., Copilot)
  • Executive reporting on IT transformation programs

Leadership & Collaboration

Lead a distributed global IT team supporting the organization’s operations.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Managing approximately 5–10 direct or indirect reports
  • Leading roles across support, M365 administration, architecture, and coordination
  • Performance management and competency development

  • ITIL-based service management
  • Vendor and licensing management
  • Broad knowledge across cloud, infrastructure, endpoints, and SaaS
