About the Role

Autronica Fire and Security is seeking a Technical Product Manager to strengthen the product leadership of our cloud based mobile app - AutroMaster Mobile and system monitoring and control software - AutroMaster. This role works closely with the existing Product Manager and has primary responsibility for the technical dimension of the products. Translating business needs and customer value into technical requirements, and guide architectural, API, and integration decisions in close collaboration with software architects and engineering teams. The role is based in our HQ in Trondheim.

This is a key role in the continued digitalisation of our fire and security solutions, serving customers within oil & gas, maritime, and commercial/building markets.


Key Responsibilities

As a Technical Product Manager, you will:

  • Act as technical product owner for AutroMaster Mobile and AutroMaster.
  • Translate business needs and customer value into technical requirements, choosing the architecture, API and integration decisions.
  • Collaborate closely with development teams (software, cloud, embedded), cybersecurity specialists, system architects, service and operations teams.
  • Contribute to and take ownership of the technical product roadmap, non-functional requirements (performance, scalability, availability), cybersecurity requirements and compliance.
  • Actively participate in technical decision-making, backlog prioritisation, sprint planning.
  • Ensure a strong understanding of the full product lifecycle such as deployment, operations, upgrades, support, and further development.
  • Provide technical support in dialogue with key customers, partners, internal sales and service functions.

You work in a structured, analytical, and methodical way, and can balance technical quality, time-to-market, and long-term architectural sustainability. Qualifications:

  • A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybernetics, or a related field.
  • Solid relevant experience in one or more of the following areas: technical product management, system or solution architecture, software or platform development.
  • Proven experience working with cloud-based platforms and services, mobile and web applications, APIs, integrations, and distributed systems.
  • Technical experience across both software, hardware, and IoT solutions is a plus.
  • A solid understanding of OT/IT convergence and industrial and/or safety-critical systems.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and standards is considered a strong advantage, including ISO 27001 and IEC 62443.
  • Ability to travel internationally when required.
