Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager/ Project Director – Design Delivery to lead complex multidisciplinary design projects within our Lead Design Consultancy team. The role focuses on overseeing the full design lifecycle from concept through detailed design and IFC stages, ensuring coordinated delivery across architecture, structural, MEP, and specialist disciplines. The successful candidate will act as the primary design authority for major projects, ensuring technical excellence, program adherence, and strong client engagement.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of complex multidisciplinary design projects acting as the primary client interface.
• Oversee the full design lifecycle from concept design through detailed design and IFC delivery.
• Direct and coordinate architectural, structural, MEP, and specialist design teams.
• Establish project delivery strategies, design programs, and coordination frameworks.
• Monitor design progress, deliverables, and resource allocation across disciplines.
• Lead high-level design coordination meetings, technical workshops, and client presentations.
• Ensure all design outputs meet international standards, project specifications, and authority requirements.
• Identify and manage technical risks, coordination issues, and design changes throughout project delivery.
• Provide commercial oversight including scope management, fee monitoring, and contractual compliance.
• Mentor design managers and discipline leads while strengthening multidisciplinary collaboration.

Qualifications & Experience

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of experience delivering complex building or infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary design teams within a lead design consultancy environment.
• Strong understanding of design delivery processes from concept through IFC stages.
• Experience delivering large-scale commercial, mixed-use, infrastructure, or mission-critical projects.
• Strong leadership capability managing large design teams and complex stakeholder environments.
• Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.

Preferred Attributes

• Experience delivering projects in the UAE or GCC region.
• Experience working with international developers and major project stakeholders.
• Strong technical understanding of multidisciplinary engineering coordination.
• Ability to oversee multiple complex projects simultaneously.
