About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Staff iOS Engineer to join our dynamic software studio in Toronto. In this leadership position, you will be responsible for motivating, managing, and inspiring a team of talented software engineers to develop innovative mobile solutions. Your role will encompass both strategic oversight and hands-on development, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products that enhance our customers' financial experiences. You will collaborate closely with senior engineers and architects to own and deliver major components and platform needs, contributing to the overall success of our mobile applications.

Our team has been instrumental in developing features such as Credit Keeper, which allows customers to view and monitor their credit scores; enabling users to edit their Personal Information directly within the mobile app; and Quick Check, providing customers with certainty about credit card approvals before they apply. We embrace a cloud-first approach, utilizing open source frameworks, RESTful APIs, microservices, and containerization to accelerate innovation and get new customer experiences to market rapidly. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in any field, along with extensive experience in native iOS application development. You should have at least six years of hands-on experience working with Swift and SwiftUI, designing, developing, and maintaining iOS applications. Proven expertise in application architecture, technical design, and full-cycle software development is essential. Additionally, you should have experience leading and mentoring junior and intermediate developers, providing guidance to both technical teams and business stakeholders. A strong understanding of agile methodologies and cloud technologies such as AWS will be advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Own and lead the delivery of major components and platform needs in collaboration with senior engineers and architects, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical standards.
- Work as an integral part of a dynamic mobile development team throughout the entire Software Development Life Cycle, from planning and design to deployment and support.
- Enhance software engineering practices by designing, developing, testing, and implementing technical solutions using a full stack of development tools and technologies.
- Contribute expertise on how emerging technologies influence the domain, advising on best practices and innovative approaches.
- Mentor and guide junior, intermediate, and senior mobile developers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
