We are looking for someone who enjoys good hands-on software design and teaching/learning industry-standard software best practices. Our ideal candidate is someone who has hands-on experience developing and delivering multiple software releases, is fluent in at least one enterprise-ready object-oriented programming language (C/C++/Java/C#/Go), and is not afraid of jumping into the latest open source tools and frameworks. You should also be passionate about good software architecture, design principles, and developer productivity, and to learn via sharing your knowledge with others.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and teach courses in the software architecture, design and development
- Supervise student projects and internship in industry
- Mentor and guide students during their learning journey
- Explore the use of emerging technologies through student projects and consultancy engagements.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related areas. A Master’s Degree or higher is preferred
- Hands-on experience in modern software engineering practices, ideally one or more of the following:
- Software design and development on modern stacks and programming languages on web and mobile
- Object-oriented component-based software development and testing
- IoT and Intelligent systems incorporating Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning capabilities
- Agile SDLC lifecycle processes, techniques and tools, eg Scrum, DevOps and automation
- Engineering and architecting Big Data systems, including NoSQL databases, data warehouses and data lakes
- Prototyping and architecting real time cyber-physical systems incorporating human-centric interfaces such as voice, gesture, touch
Other requirements:
- Passion for teaching and learning
- High desire to stay at the leading edge of technology and to acquire new skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to meet deadlines, work within an international environment, exchange knowledge with colleagues and be up-to-date with industry developments
- Ability and willingness to learn quickly and independently
