Location: 100 % Remote

Project Duration: 6 Months

Shift Timings: 9:30 PM to 6:30 AM IST (Night Shift)

Daily Stand up: Yes - around 10:30 PM IST

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Backend Software Engineer to join a team building a high-scale checkout platform that processes millions of transactions annually. This platform sits at the core of the customer purchase journey and supports billions of dollars in global demand.

You will work on scalable microservices, REST APIs, and event-driven systems, contributing to the development of resilient and high-performance backend solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and event-driven services
• Design and build scalable backend systems
• Write clean, maintainable, and secure code
• Implement automated testing (unit, integration, and end-to-end)
• Optimize system performance and reliability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment
• Participate in code reviews and architecture discussions

Required Skills

• 5+ years of backend development experience preferably in ecommerce/ retail industry.
• Experience building REST APIs and distributed systems
• Strong programming experience in Golang or Java
• Experience with AWS (DynamoDB, Redis/ElastiCache, Lambda)
• Familiarity with Kafka, Kubernetes, Docker
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and test automation
• Exposure to monitoring tools (New Relic, Splunk) is a plus

EducationBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
