UX/UI Designer
Location: Birmingham (Hybrid – 4 days office based, 1 day from home)
Contract: Full time, permanent contract (37.5 hours per week)
Salary: £35,000 to £40,000 depending on experience

Role Overview
We’re looking for a UX/UI Designer to support the Head of Ecommerce in designing and improving the digital experience across our portfolio of websites.
This role sits at the centre of customer experience, conversion optimisation and product design, helping shape how customers interact with our platforms across the entire journey from landing pages through to checkout.
You will combine user research, UX thinking, visual design and data insight to identify friction points, improve usability and drive measurable improvements in conversion and customer experience.
Working closely with Marketing, Customer Services and Development teams, you will help ensure our digital platforms are intuitive, efficient and best-in-class within the bullion investment space.
This is an excellent opportunity for a junior UX/UI designer looking to take the next step into a mid-level role, with ownership of design across multiple high-traffic e-commerce websites.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end UX and UI design of JQB websites, including user research, customer journey mapping and interface design
- Design and optimise landing pages and website experiences across multiple brands
- Work closely with Marketing, Customer Services and Development teams to identify and remove friction points within the customer journey
- Own and maintain the JQB design system within Figma
- Identify opportunities to improve conversion rate and overall customer experience
- Support the development and implementation of A/B testing initiatives to improve site performance
- Turn user insights, behavioural data and business requirements into intuitive and effective design solutions
- Ensure design consistency and high visual standards across all digital platforms
Skills & Experience
- 1–3 years of UX/UI design experience, ideally within an e-commerce environment
- Strong UX design experience using Figma
- Experience maintaining and evolving a design system
- Ability to translate user behaviour and business requirements into effective design solutions
- Strong understanding of usability, accessibility and customer journey design
- Experience working collaboratively with developers, marketers and commercial teams
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (desirable)
- Familiarity with Google Analytics (GA4) or other data tools (beneficial)
