Network Engineer – LAN/WAN (Senior / Level 3)

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer (LAN/WAN) to join our global infrastructure team. In this role, you will design, deploy, and maintain complex network environments while providing advanced Level 3 support for critical incidents. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure high availability, security, and performance across enterprise network systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy LAN/WAN network infrastructure across enterprise environments.
• Provide 3rd level troubleshooting for all LAN/WAN issues, alerts, and escalations.
• Maintain and support all network monitoring and reporting systems.
• Produce and maintain detailed technical documentation for all deployed systems and solutions.
• Participate in on‑call rotations and provide after‑hours support as required.
• Perform administrative tasks including time reporting and status updates.
• Configure and install a wide range of network components (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS).
• Execute network maintenance, upgrades, patches, hotfixes, and security configurations.
• Monitor network performance, ensuring system availability, reliability, and capacity planning.
• Follow established change and configuration management processes for all network modifications.
• Work with the security team to implement security tools, policies, and best practices.
• Collaborate with vendors and internal IT teams to resolve complex issues.
• Deliver technical training to internal teams.

Technical Qualifications

• Strong networking background with CCNP certification (required).
• Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to quickly diagnose and repair network issues.
• Ability to communicate with customers, gather requirements, and collaborate with offshore teams.
• Experience with SD‑WAN (Silver Peak preferred).
• Experience with Next‑Gen Firewalls (Cisco Firepower preferred).
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting routing loops, asymmetric routing, and STP loop issues.
• Expertise configuring/troubleshooting:
• Cisco ASA, IPS
• Cisco ISE
• Cisco WLC (wireless)
• Routing protocols: EIGRP, OSPF, BGP
• LAN switching: VLAN, VTP, STP, EtherChannel
• Quality of Service (QoS)
• TCP/IP stack
• Application protocols: HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, SMTP, SNMP, SSL, etc.
• Network security: IPSec/SSL VPN, Cisco AnyConnect, AAA, TACACS+, RADIUS, 802.1x
• Experience with Cisco Catalyst and Nexus 7K/9K switches.
• Skilled in Cisco IOS and NX‑OS configuration and troubleshooting.
• Experience with application load balancers and firewall cloud services (Zscaler preferred).
• Data Center networking experience (Nexus / ACI preferred).
• Ability to support enterprise apps such as SAP, Citrix, Portal, etc.
• Ability to analyze monitoring outputs and recommend actions (e.g., CPU spikes on core devices).
• Cloud experience in AWS, GCP, or Azure is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with Citrix NetScaler, Cisco FTD, Aruba SD‑WAN, and Azure Cloud considered a strong advantage.

Education Requirements

• CCNP Certification (required)
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• Advanced English.
