About Avocado
At Avocado we truly believe there is no limit to our clients and consultants potential. Our professional services and tailored IT solutions help organisations to optimise, accelerate and transform their IT to increase productivity, reduce costs and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
We're looking for a full stack developer with SME knowledge & experience with NodeJS.
About the Project
- The core system is the GPR Main application, a large legacy Java enterprise application running on Tomcat 9 with Java JDK 8, using Spring 3.1, Hibernate, JSF 1.2, and Spring MVC.
- The GPR user interface is embedded within this application and is accessed by authenticated users through the portal.
- Complementing this is the GPR Slave application, a more modern in-house service built using Spring Boot 2.7.x and Java 11.
- This component generates commonly used reports and exposes a developing REST API that is intended to support the gradual modernization and eventual replacement of the legacy GPR UI.
- The mandatory requirement here is to retrofit data - to uplift and improve to compliance.
- Additional components - a small REST Receiver application, and a new REST application to be created.
- Most of the data within GPR originates from external government systems. An external Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) provides loosely coupled near real-time synchronization using SOAP and REST-based services, with notifications written directly into the GPR database.
About You
- Extensive experience with NodeJS.
- Hands-on skills with any combination of the following: Angular, React JS, Express JS, Jade, or Redis.
- Experience using OAuth and/or SAML for REST API integration.
- Exposure to AWS native toolsets.
- Any additional experience with Docker, IntelliJ and Git/SVN would be advantageous.
If you meet the above criteria, please apply now - interviewing immediately.
