Purpose of the Role

To support the Senior Creative Manager in overseeing and assisting with management of the end to end creative approval process for licensed consumer products, brand partnerships and live events to be launched into the ANZ region as well as other assigned portfolio brands.

Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities

  • Provide a quality design service to licensing partners, ensuring a high degree of design input, range planning and creative and commercial guidance to maximize the brand and commercial potential of the portfolio.
  • Collaborate with all relevant teams and stakeholders to ensure development is on brand and adheres to all product development and approval stages.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage and juggle higher levels of workload at peak times throughout the year.
  • As required, the role will also be responsible for product development on other assigned brands for other children’s and/or adult properties, ensuring creative excellence and integrity across all brands
  • The role will involve multiple stakeholder management responsibilities- streamlining approval processes and working with external parties as well as internal commercial and brand teams in Australia to get their approval and close collaboration on all products and designs.
  • Formally sign off on all Bluey product from a creative perspective to ensure it meets exacting standards, and offering a secondary creative opinion on other creative decisions as necessary (such as Point of Sale and Brand Marketing approvals) and well as coordinating sign off from Commercial and Brand teams.
  • Initiate and maintain MyMediabox PD and Digital Asset accounts for licensees, as well as manages skus in systems for royalty accounting purposes.
  • Support the Senior Creative Manager with the tracking of samples. Review, process, and organise pre-production and production sample quantities as required.
  • Assist the Senior Creative Manager with day-to-day administration tasks including, help in sourcing and commissioning additional bespoke assets from the Studio as required.
  • Alongside providing assets externally, this role will also manage the asset requirements of the internal team, such as assets for brand and marketing purposes.
  • Support Marketing, Licensing and Retail teams to pull together inspiration boards, competitor research, design concept mockups and product development plans for all presentation purposes. This will require a high degree of product innovation, visualization and trend
  • Ensure that all product follows the design requirements through adherence to the relevant Style Guides and that the necessary ethical and brand protection and mandatory requirements are featured on all product and packaging.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite including Adobe InDesign, Illustrator Photoshop and Acrobat. Microsoft Office, Mediabox-PA Preferable.
  • Experience having worked in a Junior Design, Junior Product Developer or Design Assistant role/position.
  • Awareness of key retail, product and design trends
  • Understanding of manufacturing process, print techniques and tooling
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Creative thinking
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Ability to work independently, demonstrate self-motivation, and handle complex projects and deadlines. Aptitude for learning new systems and software.
  • Familiarity with the licensing and entertainment industry is also beneficial.
  • Art and/or design degree is desirable
