As our Process Development Trainee, you'll immediately become a valued part of our Global Process Leadership organization. In this role, you will provide critical administrative and analytical support to ensure accuracy and transparency across our global process areas. You will contribute to the design and governance of Kalmar’s process architecture, drive Continual Improvement initiatives, and support our ERP Transformation team in enabling a smooth transition to our new digital landscape.

This is a fixed-term, full-time trainee position, located in Helsinki.

The trainee period typically runs from April to the end of August, with an opportunity for extension depending on business needs and performance.

What Are Your Key Responsibilities

  • Process Architecture & Mapping: Support the maintenance of the Kalmar Process Architecture, ensuring all documentation reflects current standards and our to-be vision.
  • Documentation Management: Assist Global Process teams with detailed process mapping and the ongoing maintenance of process descriptions.
  • ERP Transformation Support: Support program management teams in the execution of our large-scale ERP transformation to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Project Coordination: Track project milestones, prepare status reports, and help coordinate cross-functional workshops to keep the transformation on track.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Analyze process performance data to provide actionable insights for process owners and improvement project teams.
  • Continuous Improvement Culture: Actively participate in process development projects and assist in building Kalmar’s Continual Improvement competence and culture.

What You Bring To The Role

  • Educational Background: You are currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or a related field, and are eager to apply your academic theories to a global corporate environment.
  • Early Experience & Curiosity: Previous internships or early career experience in business or process development - preferably in industrial or tech sectors is a significant advantage.
  • Technical & Analytical Competencies: You have a data-driven and structured working style. Familiarity with Google Workspace and ERP systems is an advantage, alongside a basic understanding of Continual Improvement (CI) principles.
  • Proactive Mindset: You bring a positive, can-do attitude and are enthusiastic about developing your skills in a fast-paced, high-visibility team.
  • Strong Communication: You have full professional proficiency in English, strong interpersonal skills, and a learning-oriented attitude that supports teamwork and stakeholder management.
