In the Financial Crime Detection & Investigation Solutions Tribe, we play a central role in Danske Bank’s financial crime prevention efforts, which include preventing money laundering, counterterrorist financing, risk mitigation, and adherence to anti-bribery and tax evasion policies. We support the entire Group, contributing significantly to its defence against financial crime.

Our squad specialises in transaction monitoring, focusing on analysing transaction patterns to identify unusual behaviour and transitioning to strategic solutions based on scorecards. We integrate multiple data sources and scoring pipelines to assess risks and trigger alerts based on defined thresholds. Additionally, we expand our focus to include comprehensive detection through multi-dimensional analysis of customer behaviour.

You will:

  • Own day-to-day business analysis tasks, primarily related to developing and improving transaction monitoring solutions.
  • Provide detailed analysis and insights into business needs, exploring problems and identifying solutions.
  • Collaborate closely with developers in the squad to ensure business needs are accurately understood, developed, and implemented.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings within the squad and with diverse stakeholders.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure the solutions meet business needs and requirements.
  • Support operations end users by handling requests and questions, triaging and resolving application incidents, escalating when needed.
  • Conduct functional and end-user testing, driving testing strategies to ensure high-quality outcomes.
  • Gather and consolidate business requirements for system development.
  • Document software products, business processes, testing scenarios, and results to maintain clarity and traceability.

About you:

  • At least 2+ years of experience working as a Business Analyst in banking or fintech industries, with a strong advantage in transaction monitoring or other financial crime domains, but not mandatory.
  • Strong analytical and data analysis skills with practical experience in collecting, organising, and presenting information accurately, providing end-user support, and handling incidents with attention to detail.
  • Basic understanding of Scala, Python, and AWS, with the ability to utilise them for data input/output purposes, complemented by experience in data management and basic SQL querying capabilities.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment, with familiarity in using tools such as Jira and Confluence (would be beneficial)
  • Expertise in test management, with skills in both functional and end-user testing.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to challenge, question, and drive improvements where needed.
  • Advanced proficiency in English (both written and spoken).

Monthly salary ranges from 2880 – 4320 EUR gross (based on your competencies relevant for the job).

Your job function (position) in the job contract will be Analyst - Business. From 1 April 2026 it will be renamed to Technology Business Solutions under our new job architecture, with no impact on the role or responsibilities.
