At Sytac, we build high-performing engineering teams for leading organizations. We combine a pragmatic, people-first culture with technical craftsmanship, giving engineers autonomy to design scalable UI infrastructure in real production environments.
In this role, you will contribute to a mission-critical Design System and Component Library. Built on native Web Components and React, these accessible UI elements are consumed across multiple internal applications. You will be responsible for ensuring the library is scalable, performant, and perfectly documented.
What you’ll do
- Develop accessible, native Web Components and React elements for a cross-company design system.
- Create well-structured, reusable components with a focus on maintainability and performance.
- Maintain high standards using Storybook, automated testing, and CI/CD via GitHub Actions.
- Operate with a frontend focus (80%), while handling minor backend or integration tasks (20%) as needed.
- Work in an Agile team, translating UX designs from tools like Figma into high-quality code.
- Drive performance tuning and ensure the library scales efficiently across various internal platforms.
What we’re looking for
- Expert in React (Hooks, Context, Design Patterns) and TypeScript.
- Deep understanding of native Web Components standards.
- Proven experience building scalable component libraries and state management systems.
- Proficient with Storybook, ESLint, Prettier, Docker, and GitHub Actions.
- Strong commitment to robust unit testing and clean code principles.
- Self-starter with strong analytical skills and an academic background.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Based in the Netherlands (no relocation).
Tooling: React, TypeScript, Web Components, Storybook, GitHub Actions, Docker, Figma.
Personal Qualities
- Hands-on: This is a pure engineering role, not a managerial one.
- Innovative: Adaptable to new technologies and committed to finding enterprising solutions.
- Team Player: Values diverse perspectives and thrives in a collaborative Agile environment.
