Senior UI/UX Designer

We are looking for a full time Senior UI/UX Designer to turn complex regulatory software into intuitive, trusted products.

At FuelFWD, we build software that helps renewable fuel companies manage compliance with confidence. This is a complex, high-stakes domain where clarity, usability, and trust are everything. Our platform is purpose-built to turn complexity into clarity, merging simplicity of design with the robustness our customers and their auditors demand. Can you translate complexity into simplicity and design products that users actually enjoy working with? If yes, we would love to meet you.

About us

FuelFWD is on a mission to remove compliance stress, risk, and cost for renewable fuel companies. We digitize and streamline compliance workflows so our customers can focus on growth instead of regulation.

We operate in a conservative, highly regulated industry that is rapidly evolving. That creates a unique design challenge: building modern, elegant software for users who are used to spreadsheets, fragmented tools, and manual processes. Our users rely on our platform daily to run critical operations, where clarity, auditability, and efficiency are essential.

We are a fast-growing scaleup with an ambitious vision. We value clarity over noise, ownership over hierarchy, and thoughtful execution over unnecessary complexity.

The role

As our Senior UI/UX Designer, you will take ownership of the product experience across our platform. You will work closely with founders, product, and engineering to shape how users interact with compliance workflows end to end.

This is a hands-on, high-impact role. You will be involved from problem definition to final delivery, translating regulatory complexity into structured, intuitive user experiences. You think in workflows, not just screens, and understand how to design for B2B SaaS products where reliability, auditability, and efficiency matter more than visual flourish.

You will also work closely with Sales and Delivery, incorporating real-world customer insights into continuous product improvement.

What you will do

  • Own the end-to-end user experience across our platform
  • Translate complex regulatory workflows into clear user journeys
  • Design intuitive workflows for complex operational and compliance processes
  • Create wireframes, flows, and high-fidelity designs
  • Design data-heavy interfaces such as tables, dashboards, filters, and role-based views
  • Improve usability across the platform, reducing friction, cognitive load, and error risk
  • Contribute to and evolve a scalable design system
  • Validate assumptions through user feedback, usability testing, and iteration
  • Join customer conversations to observe real-world usage and gather insights
  • Balance usability, performance, and business requirements
  • Bring structure and clarity to ambiguous problem spaces
  • Contribute to the long-term UX direction of the platform

What we are looking for

  • 5+ years of experience in UI/UX design, preferably in B2B SaaS
  • Experience designing complex web applications or workflow-driven systems
  • Experience in conservative or regulated industries such as energy, finance, logistics, or compliance
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating structured UX thinking and workflow-driven design
  • Ability to simplify complex workflows into intuitive experiences
  • Experience designing data-heavy interfaces
  • Experience with design tools such as Figma
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders and customers
  • A structured, product-minded approach to design
  • Comfortable in a hands-on, fast-moving environment with ownership and autonomy
  • Bonus points if you have worked on compliance-related products or contributed to a design system

What we offer

  • A key role in shaping the product of a fast-growing company
  • High ownership and direct impact on product direction
  • A collaborative, no-nonsense team culture
  • Competitive salary and flexibility
  • Hybrid working setup, with regular time together as a team
