Role

We are seeking an experienced Product Owner – Ecommerce & Web to drive the vision, development, and continuous improvement of our digital commerce and web platforms. This role bridges business, customer experience, and technology, ensuring that ecommerce and web initiatives deliver measurable value, exceptional user experiences, and alignment with strategic goals. The ideal candidate is customer-obsessed, data-driven, and experienced in managing complex web and ecommerce products within an Agile delivery environment.

Key Responsibilities

Product Ownership & Strategy

• Own and communicate the product vision and roadmap for ecommerce and web platforms.
• Translate business objectives, customer needs, and market opportunities into clear product initiatives.
• Prioritize features and enhancements based on business value, customer impact, and technical feasibility.

Backlog Management

• Create, refine, and maintain a well-groomed product backlog, including epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Ensure backlog items are clearly defined, prioritized, and ready for development.
• Balance short-term delivery needs with long-term platform scalability.

Agile Delivery

• Act as the Product Owner within Scrum/Agile teams, working closely with developers, QA, UX/UI designers, and architects.
• Participate in sprint planning, reviews, demos, and retrospectives.

Ecommerce & Web Experience

• Own key ecommerce capabilities such as:
• Product catalog,Search, navigation, and personalization
• Checkout and order management
• Promotions, pricing, and content management
• Ensure best-in-class UX, performance, accessibility, and SEO across web platforms.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Partner with Marketing, Sales and Technology teams.
• Gather and manage stakeholder requirements, expectations, and feedback.
• Clearly communicate priorities, progress, risks, and outcomes.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5–7+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role.
• Strong hands-on experience with Ecommerce platforms (e.g. Adobe Commerce, custom platforms).
• Proven experience delivering web-based products at scale.
• Deep understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience writing clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and managing product backlogs.
• Strong analytical skills and experience using tools such as Google Analytics, or similar.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with headless commerce, microservices, or API-driven architectures.
• Knowledge of CMS platforms (e.g., Optimizely).
• Awareness of search engines like Algolia
• Familiarity with UX research, CRO, and A/B testing tools.
• Background in omnichannel digital products.
