The Senior Privacy Officer (Data & Technology) supports compliance with global data protection and emerging AI regulations across Glory Global Solutions, Acrelec and Flooid by advising stakeholders, operationalising privacy‑by‑design, and supporting risk assessments across products, vendors, and data infrastructure. Working within the Group Data & Technology Legal function, the role drives practical compliance, delivers training, and supports advisory, breach response, and international transfer activities to enable responsible innovation and sustainable business growth.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support review of a variety of data-related agreements, including third-party vendor contracts and data processing arrangements.
  • Provide operational guidance on global privacy laws, regulations and international standards, ensuring organizational compliance, risk mitigation, and stakeholder understanding.
  • Provide guidance on privacy considerations in AI development, including emerging AI regulatory frameworks.
  • Help embed privacy-by-design and default principles across AI tools and software solutions and throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Perform risk assessments and reviews to ensure compliance with applicable privacy laws and regulations.
  • Monitor changes in legislation and advise management of necessary compliance measures.
  • Review and monitor compliance of third-party processors and technology vendors in line with company policies and processes.
  • Develop, implement and review policies and procedures that comply with data protection legislation and emerging technology best practices, updating them as necessary to reflect legal or technological changes.
  • Liaise with the relevant external bodies to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Deliver training and guidance to key stakeholders and the wider business on data protection and technology matters.
  • Provide support with all privacy matters, ensuring proper assignment, tracking, and compliance with statutory deadlines.
  • Advise on international data transfers and ensure compliance with cross-border data protection requirements.
  • General support including compiling and distributing a variety of high-level reports, both internally
  • and externally.
  • Provide support with data protection impact assessments, including assessments related to AI use.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned to promote and support the Data and Technology legal team.

 

Required Education And Qualifications

Education Level:

  • Strong working knowledge of GDPR, UK GDPR, Data protection Act 2018, CCPA, and global data protection regimes and standards.
  • Broad understanding of commercial law and compliance processes.
  • Strong legal and commercial judgment with pragmatic problem-solving skills.
  •  Excellent written and oral communication skills (English fluency is essential); experience managing external counsel and internal clients.
  • Familiarity with Contract Lifecycle Management software preferred.


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of deep experience in data protection and data security, with a global lens, regulatory or compliance roles.
  • Internationally recognised certification in data protection and/or AI governance (e.g. IAPP- CIPP/E).
  • Experience working with international businesses is preferred.
  • Comfortable working independently.
