Are you a seasoned Network Engineer who thrives on securing and automating complex infrastructure across hybrid environments?

We’re partnering with an innovative organisation in Switzerland that is looking for a Senior Network Engineer to support the design, optimisation, and security of a large-scale enterprise network environment. The role will suit someone who enjoys working across networking, security, and infrastructure automation while collaborating with experienced technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, maintain, and optimise complex enterprise network infrastructure
• Manage and configure Cisco-based switching, routing, and WLAN environments
• Implement and maintain corporate firewall solutions (e.g., Fortinet or equivalent)
• Apply cybersecurity frameworks to strengthen and protect IT infrastructure
• Support hybrid infrastructure across on-premise and cloud environments
• Contribute to infrastructure automation and Infrastructure-as-Code practices
• Collaborate with teams managing Unix and Windows Server / Active Directory environments
• Assist in troubleshooting, optimisation, and network architecture improvements

Skills Required

• 10+ years of experience in large Telco, ISP, or enterprise network environments
• Strong expertise with Cisco networking technologies (switching, routing, WLAN)
• Advanced knowledge of enterprise firewall technologies (Fortinet preferred)
• Deep understanding of Unix/Linux systems, with working knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory
• Solid grasp of cloud and virtualisation concepts (experience with AWS or Proxmox is a plus)
• Experience implementing cybersecurity frameworks and security best practices
• Familiarity with Infrastructure Automation / Infrastructure as Code approaches
