We are currently working exclusively with a leading global FinTech who are looking to expand their operations in Europe, building a new office in Amsterdam. They are currently seeking a Chief Compliance Officer & MLRO to lead their compliance strategy across the Netherlands, helping them scale the business in Europe. This is an exceptional opportunity for a senior compliance professional to make a strategic impact within one of the most innovative firms in the digital asset space.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of the compliance strategy across Dutch and EU operations.
• Ensure full adherence to financial and data regulations including WWFT, MiCAR, MiFID/MiFIR, GDPR etc
• Serve as the main liaison with regulators, notably the AFM.
• Oversee internal risk assessments, compliance monitoring, and policy development.
• Manage AML/CFT frameworks, due diligence processes, and transaction monitoring systems.
• Provide clear, practical regulatory guidance to senior stakeholders across multiple business lines.
• Drive compliance training, awareness, and cross-border alignment with global compliance teams.

Experience Required

• Significant experience in a compliance position within the Financial Services in the Netherlands
• Deep understanding of EU and Dutch regulatory frameworks, especially MiFID.
• Proven experience engaging with Dutch regulators and managing external audits.
• Strategic yet hands-on approach, with strong leadership and communication skills.
• Fluency in English; Dutch fluency strongly preferred but not essential.
• Experience in digital assets, blockchain, or high-growth financial environments would be advantageous but not essential.
• Experience in Derivatives is essential; experience in managing compliance and regulatory risks in a trading/investment banking/financial markets environment
• Self-starter and ability to work autonomously and part if a wider global team
