We consist of Product Owners, Software Engineers, IT Architects, UX Designers, QA engineers and more. We have a great collaboration between the business and development, in a product-oriented fashion where we adhere to agile principles of working. As we are product-oriented we take ownership of the product we are working on, and have a full DevOps responsibility ranging from design, development, monitoring and maintenance.
Your mission as a frontend developer in our tech team
As a frontend developer with us, you will be part of a dedicated team with a mission to build world class user experiences within online banking. With us you will be part of building and maintaining modern web pages used by a large amount of corporations in Norway – and at the same time ensure we take a leading position in the overall modernization in DNB.
You will take part in learning through experimentation and iterative design to improve our products over time. We approach web development with a "never finished" mentality, a product can always improve! We gather feedback from customers in a smiley face survey component, and monitor this regularly to keep close to the customer and prioritize their needs and problems.
With us you will be able to influence our solutions, decisions, and design, as well as the way we work and collaborate across different professions. You will be able to take part in everything from design, implementation, quality assurance, experimentation, testing, deployment, and monitoring of the services we build.
We strive to create the best developer experience when working with our developer tools and frameworks. We continually focus on improving and adhering to best practices. We encourage to share knowledge and participate in courses and conferences to stay relevant and engaged! DNB also has a great internal professional environment and frequent joint sessions that you can benefit from.
What Are We Looking For
We are looking for developers with an eye for design and a growth mindset who can inspire their colleagues.
With a mix of humbleness but also an ability to take the lead. You are passionate about technology and have a strong interest in learning about and playing with new technologies. But almost equally important is your ability to be a good team player and understanding the need to cooperate with others to achieve greater results.
Required Qualifications
We prefer that you have completed higher technical education, but we also acknowledge that extensive relevant experience may make up for this. You must be fluent in English (both oral and written).
It is an advantage if you have experience with optimizing components for high performance and security. You should have experience with cloud technologies. For frontend development it is an advantage if you have experience in translating design and wireframes into high quality code, and that you are familiar with accessibility and the WCAG standards.
We have high ambitions for our customer facing applications, so a demonstrated passion for user experience design is preferable. You should have a good understanding of automated testing, continuous integration, and deployment practices.

- CSS/SCSS
- JavaScript/TypeScript
- Frameworks like React or similar
- Responsive web design
- Client integration of REST APIs.
- Integration & functional testing frameworks (like Jest, Cypress, Puppeteer or similar is an advantage)
