The Why

Reporting to the Director of Deposits Products and Portfolio, this role will be accountable for driving Ubank’s Deposit Products & Portfolio, a domain central to our customer value proposition, funding strategy, and commercial performance.

This high performing individual will help shape and execute Ubank’s deposit growth strategy, optimise our deposit portfolio, lead product innovation initiatives and pricing execution, while working cross functionally across bank to drive customer and commercial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle for Deposits products, including product construct, features, eligibility, incentives, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead from the front—comfortable rolling up your sleeves to drive execution and deliver market-leading customer experiences.
  • Design and optimise pricing strategies that balance growth, margin, funding needs, competitive positioning, and customer value
  • Demonstrate commercial ownership across revenue, operating costs, and contribution to bank wide P&L and balance sheet outcomes.
  • Make informed trade-offs to maximise sustainable value creation.
  • Build and maintain robust forecasting across balances, margins, churn, and performance drivers.
  • Use first principles thinking and diagnostic analytics to identify growth levers and inform strategic decisions.
  • Ensure all deposit products comply with relevant regulatory, and prudential requirements.
  • Maintain a strong control environment with clear accountability for product risks, incident management, and operational performance.
  • Lead across the organisation, orchestrating alignment with Marketing, Digital, Data, Treasury, Finance, Risk, and Operations.

Your Experience

  • Demonstrated experience owning or leading deposit products or similar banking portfolios with clear commercial impact.
  • Experience developing pricing strategies and managing P&L, margin, and balance‑sheet drivers.
  • Strong background using analytics, forecasting, and customer/market insights to drive decisions and optimise performance.
  • Hands‑on experience influencing and collaborating across key functions (e.g., Marketing, Digital, Data, Treasury, Finance, Risk).

Qualifications (Preferred)

  • A degree in a related field (Finance, Commerce, Economics, Mathematics, Banking, Business or similar) that provides a solid educational background for professional achievements is preferred, however not mandatory if relative professional experience is able to be demonstrated.
