Network Administrator- Cisco

Job Title: Network Administrator
Location: Calgary, AB
Required Skills: VMWare , Network Routing (WAN Technology) , Data Network_Cisco
Years Experience: 8-10
Role Responsibilities:
The Network Administrator will be responsible for the administration, configuration, monitoring, and support of enterprise and data center network environments, including:
• Hands on administration and operational support of Cisco APIC (ACI environment)
• Configuration, management, and troubleshooting of Spine Leaf switches, Edge switches, Routers, Firewalls, Wireless Access Points
• Administration and support of SD WAN solutions, including SD WAN device configuration and policy management
• WAN routing, traffic steering, and performance optimization
• Troubleshooting SD WAN connectivity, failover, and performance issues
• Administration and support of WAN acceleration devices
• Perform network provisioning, changes, upgrades, and incident resolution
• Monitor network performance, availability, and capacity across LAN, WAN, WLAN, and SD WAN
• Troubleshoot complex network connectivity and performance issues
• Work closely with server, security, and application teams during deployments and incidents
Required Technical Skills:
• Strong network troubleshooting skills, including root cause analysis for connectivity and performance issues
• Experience monitoring network performance, availability, and capacity using enterprise monitoring tools
• Working knowledge of network security concepts, firewall policies, and access control
• Ability to create and maintain network documentation, diagrams, and standard operating procedures
• Experience working in onsite enterprise and data center environments with minimal supervision
• Experience supporting 24/7 production environments
• Exposure to change management and ITSM processes
• Comfortable participating in on-call or after-hours support
Key Technologies
• Network Administrator, Cisco APIC ACI, Spine Leaf architecture, SD WAN, routing and switching (L2/L3), BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, firewalls, wireless access points, WAN technologies, network troubleshooting, enterprise network administration
Technical Certifications Preferred:
CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, Cisco ACI Certification, SD-WAN Certification, Azure CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, Networking, Cisco Meraki
