Overview
A leading global trading firm is seeking a highly driven Systematic Trader to join its expanding APAC team. This is a hands‑on trading role focused on overseeing the day‑to‑day performance, stability, and risk management of fully automated, quantitative trading strategies across multiple asset classes. You will operate at the intersection of markets, technology, and quantitative research-playing a critical role in ensuring the smooth execution of our systematic businesses.
Responsibilities
- Manage the daily operation of automated trading strategies, responding to real‑time market conditions and system alerts.
- Monitor trading performance, identify anomalies or emerging patterns, and take decisive action to mitigate risk.
- Collaborate closely with quantitative researchers, developers, and technology teams to enhance strategy performance, implement new features, and improve robustness.
- Develop a deep understanding of market microstructure, product behaviors, and regional trading regulations.
- Contribute to the continual improvement of our trading platform through insights, analysis, and execution playbooks.
- Own risk management for assigned strategies, ensuring responsible, controlled, and well‑documented decision making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM, Finance, Economics, or related discipline.
- Prior experience in electronic or systematic trading strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical and decision‑making ability, with a commercial mindset and comfort operating in high‑pressure environments.
- Excellent communication skills and a detail‑oriented approach to monitoring complex systems.
- Technical familiarity with Linux and proficiency in Python is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with quantitative, trading, and engineering teams.
