Shopee Designers design for impact and seek to create a user-centric experience for our consumers, merchants and internal teams. Our UI/UX designers cover a wide range of product UI/UX design from online shopping to financial services, local commerce and merchant solutions. On the other hand, our Brand designers take charge of ensuring consistency and effectiveness of Shopee’s branding and visual identity. In Shopee, we adopt a customer-first philosophy when designing our products to create a seamless online shopping experience for our buyers. We are looking for UI/UX designers to join us in adopting a user-centric approach when designing some of our core e-commerce features, to enhance users’ landing, browsing and navigation experience through the shopping process. You will work with a cross-functional, highly capable team of designers, product managers, and engineers to analyse customer behaviours and identify opportunities in a dynamic environment.

Job Description

• Lead the design process for our e-commerce products (mobile and web) to serve the local market audience from South East Asia
• Make high-level contributions to product strategy by identifying new opportunities, generating innovative solutions, and improving existing features
• Design products systematically and conduct data-driven evaluation of designs
• Maintain and define the visual and UX patterns for our products to cultivate a consistent and intuitive experience
• Develop clear and effective user interfaces to achieve both product and business goals
  
  

Requirements

• At least one year of work experience in designing web / mobile products
• Prior experience in e-commerce is a strong plus
• Solid design philosophy, deep understanding and practical experience in user experience design and related fields
• Strong ability to grasp product vision, product goals and communicate them clearly and regularly to the team
• Demonstrate a track record of delivering requirements in a dynamic environment
• Proficient in various interactive and visual design software tools
• Proficiency in typography, sketching, composition, layout, colour, iconography, illustration, and the presentation of information is a plus
