We are partnering with a diversified group of businesses undergoing a critical phase of transformation, seeking a hands-on Chief Information Officer (CIO) to drive enterprise-wide change across multiple operating entities.
This role goes beyond traditional IT leadership. The focus is on improving how the organisation operates day-to-day — driving digital adoption, enhancing workforce productivity, and embedding more effective, modern ways of working across the business.
A key aspect of this role is being highly visible and on the ground, working closely with teams across functions to understand pain points, influence behaviours, and ensure successful adoption of new tools, processes, and workflows. The ideal candidate will be comfortable engaging stakeholders at all levels and driving change from within the organisation.
What You Will Drive
Digital Workforce Productivity
Drive the adoption of tools, automation, and workflows to significantly improve how teams operate on a daily basis, reducing manual work and improving efficiency.
Change Management & Adoption
Lead organisation-wide change initiatives, ensuring successful rollout and sustained adoption of new systems and ways of working across business units.
Group Standardisation
Establish and enforce consistent standards across systems, processes, and reporting, while balancing the needs of different business units.
Data & Decision-Making
Develop a reliable and consistent reporting environment, enabling better visibility and faster, more informed decision-making across leadership teams.
Technology Simplification
Streamline fragmented systems and tools into a more practical, scalable, and efficient technology landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the digitalisation of day-to-day operations to improve productivity, collaboration, and decision-making
- Implement practical tools and workflows that streamline processes and reduce inefficiencies
- Lead end-to-end change management initiatives, including rollout planning, communication, and training
- Work closely with business leaders to align processes, behaviours, and incentives with new ways of working
- Establish and enforce group-wide standards across systems, data, and reporting
- Simplify and harmonise fragmented platforms across multiple business units
- Define and execute a phased technology roadmap focused on practical, high-impact outcomes
- Rationalise and integrate existing systems to improve efficiency and reduce duplication
- Strengthen data governance and reporting capabilities to support better decision-making
- Establish appropriate governance, risk, and cybersecurity practices across the organisation
- Manage and optimise external vendors and service providers, ensuring strong delivery and cost efficiency
- Design and evolve a lean IT operating model aligned with business growth
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in senior technology or digital leadership roles (e.g. CIO, Head of IT, Head of Digital Transformation)
- Proven track record driving enterprise-wide transformation, particularly in digital adoption and change management
- Experience standardising systems, processes, and reporting across multiple entities or business units
- Strong commercial mindset with a focus on outcomes, efficiency, and business impact
- Comfortable operating in a lean environment with a hands-on, execution-oriented approach
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and drive change across all levels of the organisation
- Experience working with outsourced IT vendors and managing external service providers
- Good understanding of IT governance, cybersecurity, and enterprise systems
