Backend Engineer (Golang)

Location: NYC or Remote (U.S.)

A fast-growing fintech company is seeking a Backend Engineer with strong Golang experience to help build high-performance systems powering next-generation financial infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design and build backend services using Golang

• Develop scalable APIs and microservices architectures

• Optimize systems for performance, reliability, and scalability

• Work with databases, caching layers, and messaging systems

• Collaborate with engineers to improve platform architecture and infrastructure

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience

• Strong experience with Golang in production environments

• Experience building distributed systems or microservices

• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)

• Strong understanding of system performance, APIs, and databases

Nice to Have

• Experience with financial systems, trading platforms, or real-time systems

• Experience with Rust, C++, or Java
