We are looking for a dedicated Human Resources Generalist to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Missouri City, Texas. This role involves supporting various HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, and benefits administration, while ensuring smooth day-to-day office operations. Previous experience in government settings is a plus but not mandatory.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate recruitment processes by posting job openings, sourcing candidates, and assisting with interviews.
• Facilitate onboarding processes for new hires, ensuring all necessary documentation and training are completed.
• Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS system to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Provide support for benefits administration, including enrollment and answering employee inquiries.
• Assist in managing employee relations by addressing concerns and maintaining positive workplace communication.
• Conduct background checks and verify employment eligibility as part of the hiring process.
• Collaborate with team members to enhance HR policies and procedures.
• Deliver general office support to ensure efficient daily operations within the HR department.
• Generate reports and track HR metrics to support organizational goals.
• Stay informed of HR trends and regulations to ensure practices align with industry standards.
• Familiarity with HRIS systems and the ability to maintain accurate employee records.
• Strong understanding of employee relations and benefits administration.
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills to manage diverse HR functions.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with employees and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of employment eligibility verification procedures.
• Prior experience in government settings is preferred but not required.
