The Junior Security Operations Analyst will play a critical role in maintaining the security of our systems and network infrastructure. This includes monitoring security alerts, analyzing incidents, investigating security breaches, and conducting vulnerability assessments. The ideal candidate has a passion for cybersecurity, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and is eager to learn and grow in their career.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor security alerts and investigate potential security breaches
- Analyze security incidents and determine appropriate response actions
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and provide recommendations for remediation
- Assist with the implementation and maintenance of security tools and technologies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with security policies and regulations
- Maintain documentation and reports related to security incidents and investigations
- Stay up-to-date on the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and best practices
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in IT or cybersecurity
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, protocols, and technologies
- Familiarity with security tools and technologies, such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and antivirus solutions
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Relevant certifications such as Security+, Network+, or CISSP are a plus
