Overview: Every consultant belongs to a practice, an internal group of consultants and leaders with shared experience and expertise. Each of these practices aligns to one of the core services Turnberry offers to clients. As a Network Administrator, you will join Turnberry's Digital Modernization practice, where technology and strategy combine to deliver exceptional digital experiences, empowering organizations to thrive in today's digital market.

Responsibilities

  • Network Design and Implementation
    • Design, deploy, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance network infrastructure for clients, including LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks
    • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to assess network requirements, develop solutions, and implement best practices for network architecture
  • Network Security
    • Implement and maintain robust network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and access controls, to protect against cyber threats and unauthorized access
    • Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration tests to identify and remediate security risks
  • Network Monitoring and Optimization
    • Monitor network performance, availability, and reliability using industry-leading tools and technologies
    • Proactively identify and resolve network issues, optimize network configurations, and implement performance enhancements to ensure maximum uptime and efficiency
  • Leadership and Team Development
    • Provide technical leadership and guidance to help desk team members, assist with escalated support issues, and facilitate skill development
    • Mentor junior network administrators and Tier 2 techs, share knowledge, and best practices to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement
    • Collaborate with management to develop training programs and resources to enhance the technical capabilities of the team
  • Technical Support and Troubleshooting
    • Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting assistance to clients and internal teams for complex network-related issues
    • Serve as a subject matter expert on network technologies, protocols, and standards
    • Offer guidance and mentorship to junior team members
  • Documentation and Reporting
    • Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, topology diagrams, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
    • Prepare and present regular reports on network performance, security incidents, and service delivery metrics to clients and management
Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in network administration, preferably in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) or enterprise environment
  • Proven expertise in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting complex network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs
  • Strong knowledge of network security principles and best practices, including encryption, authentication, and access control
  • Experience with network monitoring and management tools such as SolarWinds or similar
  • Industry certifications such as Microsoft or equivalent are highly desirable
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, colleagues, and vendors
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced and changing environment

The salary range for this role is $75,000 to $110,000 or the hourly equivalent.
