The Data Analyst supports the Technology and Data Solutions organization in delivering high quality reporting, analytics and insights for C&W Services clients. This role serves as a link between business stakeholders and the technical teams who maintain our BI and data platforms. It focuses on turning business needs into actionable data requirements, improving data quality and contributing to the development of dashboards, data models and analytics solutions within the Microsoft ecosystem.

This position is intended for individuals with 2-3 years of experience who can operate independently on core analytics tasks, support platform improvements and collaborate effectively with both technical and operational teams.

Core Responsibilities:

Business and Client Support

• Collaborate with account teams to capture reporting requirements and translate them into clear technical specifications.
• Provide data insights through trend analysis, KPI monitoring and interpretation of dashboard findings, clearly explaining performance drivers, risks and operational opportunities to business and client teams.
• Partner with operations to understand reporting gaps and recommend appropriate tools or analytical solutions that enhance visibility, decision making and workflow efficiency.
• Assist with client onboarding through data assessments, mapping exercises and validation of reporting needs.

Analytics and Reporting Development

• Build and enhance Power BI dashboards, datasets and data models following established standards.
• Write foundational T SQL queries to prepare data, validate logic and troubleshoot discrepancies.
• Conduct User Acceptance Testing for new releases, dashboards and data improvements.
• Document business rules, data definitions and reporting logic to support transparency and consistency.

Data Quality and Platform Support

• Support business as usual activities including investigation of data issues, validation of source to target mappings and identification of root causes.
• Partner with data engineering and governance teams to maintain data consistency, lineage and quality across the BI environment.
• Assess impacts of source system changes and contribute to continuous improvement of data processes.
• Assist operations by diagnosing reporting or tool related issues and recommending practical data driven solutions.

Process Improvement and Enablement

• Identify opportunities to streamline reporting processes and automate recurring workflows.
• Contribute to documentation, process mapping and creation of standard operating procedures.
• Help business teams evaluate whether tools such as Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate or other internal platforms are suitable for their needs.
• Support user adoption by explaining how tools function and how they address specific operational challenges.
• Continue learning related to Power BI, Azure data services, automation technologies and broader BI best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Data and Analytics, IT, Business, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 3-5 years of experience in data analysis, BI development or related analytics roles.
• Hands on experience with Power BI including report development, data modeling, DAX and Power Query M.
• Working knowledge of SQL for querying, validation and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with dimensional modeling concepts such as star schema structures.
• Experience in requirements gathering, business process documentation or creation of analytical deliverables.
• Exposure to Agile or Scrum methodologies and platforms such as Azure DevOps or Jira.
• Additional skills such as Python, Power Apps, Power Automate, Azure Data Factory, Databricks or Alteryx are a plus.
