Purpose

As a Security Analyst, protecting company’s information, hardware, software, and networks from theft, information loss, or unauthorized access. A Security Analyst will perform investigation, and resolution of security incidents, conduct risk assessments to by applying a blend of your technical skills, experience, and knowledge of security principles. A Security Analyst will create and mature policies and procedures, reporting on compliance against them. Additionally, Security Analysts will take pride in educating other team members through information security awareness training.


Main Duties

  • Proactively identifying, investigating, and hunting potential attacks and security risks
  • Perform analysis of security events as detected by various security controls, monitoring, and recording security events in daily and weekly reports
  • Suggesting new security improvements and solutions
  • Deploying information security training
  • Will create and mature policies, reporting on compliance against them
  • Perform incident response using the company's defined Security Incident Response framework such as NIST
  • Ensures compliance of security processes and procedures and supports service-level agreements (SLAs) to ensure that security controls are managed and maintained


Person Specification

  • Minimum of two years of information and cyber security experience
  • Bachelor's degree desirable
  • Entry level qualifications such as ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity
  • Experience with common information security management frameworks, such as International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 27001 and the ITIL, COBIT and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) or Centre for Internet Security (CIS) frameworks
  • Conversant with common project methodologies (scaled agile, agile, waterfall,) and familiar with supporting tools (Jira, Confluence and ServiceNow)
  • Awareness of Hyperscale cloud technologies (AWS, Microsoft, Google)
  • Desire to expand on security knowledge and gain real-world experience with clients, working under more experienced team members

Security Qualifications and Certifications:

  • ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity or equivalent
