Scrum Master – Group TransformationLocation: Hybrid (4 days on-site / 1 day remote) About JD Sports Fashion JD is a FTSE100 global omni-channel retailer operating across Sports Fashion, Outdoors and Gyms. As we continue to expand internationally, we are investing in a modern digital ecosystem to power the next generation of customer and operational platforms. Our Group Transformation function is driving this change, improving how technology and digital products are delivered across the business. The Opportunity We’re looking for a pragmatic, delivery-focused Scrum Master to support product teams building and evolving JD’s digital platforms, including key e-commerce capabilities. You will work within a delivery landscape of 11 product teams and a community of 4 Scrum Masters, helping teams collaborate effectively, navigate complexity and deliver value consistently. This role is ideal for someone who understands Agile is not just about process — it’s about enabling teams to deliver meaningful outcomes. What You’ll Do You will work closely with product, engineering and business stakeholders to enable effective Agile delivery across one or more product teams. Responsibilities include:

  • Facilitating Scrum ceremonies that drive clarity, alignment and continuous improvement
  • Coaching teams in Agile principles to encourage ownership, accountability and self-organisationPartnering with Product Managers to align delivery with business priorities and product roadmaps
  • Identifying and removing blockers impacting team deliveryManaging dependencies and risks across teams to maintain delivery momentum. Using delivery metrics to improve predictability and performance
  • Communicating progress, risks and outcomes clearly to stakeholders
  • Contributing to the Scrum Master community, sharing practices and improving ways of working The Environment JD is in the middle of a major digital transformation. Agile maturity varies across teams, meaning Scrum Masters play a key role in helping teams evolve how they work while maintaining delivery momentum. You’ll have the autonomy to coach, challenge and improve delivery practices, while working within a shared transformation framework. This is a fast-paced retail environment, so we’re looking for someone comfortable navigating change and working closely with stakeholders. What Success Looks Like in Your First 90 Days
  • Build strong relationships with your product team and stakeholders
  • Bring clarity to delivery progress, risks and dependencies
  • Identify opportunities to improve team flow and collaboration
  • Help teams focus on delivering measurable outcomes, not just completing sprints
  • Contribute to the Scrum Master community and share improvements What We’re Looking For
  • 2–5+ years working in Agile environments, including at least 2 years as a Scrum Master
  • Experience supporting cross-functional product or engineering teams
  • Strong facilitation, coaching and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Confidence working with senior stakeholders and navigating delivery challenges
  • A data-driven mindset using metrics to improve team performance
  • A pragmatic approach to Agile focused on delivery outcomes rather than process
  • Experience with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Miro or similar Agile platforms is expected.
  • Certifications such as CSM, PSM or PAL are beneficial but not essential.
