Senior Network Engineer – Low Latency / Colocation Networks
Location
Central London | Up to £75k | 4 days onsite
We’re hiring a Senior Network Engineer to join a low latency networking team at a leading quantitative research and technology firm. The team designs and delivers high-performance network infrastructure across multiple exchange colocation data centres supporting trading and research systems.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement low-latency networks in colocation environments
- Deliver routing & switching projects (Cisco / Arista)
- Support exchange connectivity and WAN circuits
- Hands-on DC work (rack & stack, cross-connects, vendor coordination)
- Troubleshoot L2/L3 networks (BGP, OSPF, VLANs, STP)
Requirements
- Strong routing & switching experience (Cisco / Arista)
- Solid understanding of BGP, OSPF and core networking concepts
- Experience working in data centre / colocation environments
- Ability to design HLD / LLD network solutions
Nice to have: Multicast, AWS networking, or automation (Python / Ansible)
