What you’ll do

We’re looking for an experienced, hands-on remuneration professional to join us on a fixed term contract to lead a key remuneration benchmarking project across our global workforce. Working closely with People & Culture, business managers and Aon, you will drive the end-to-end delivery of the project, ensuring role documentation is completed, roles are accurately position matched, benchmarking is undertaken and outputs are translated into meaningful insights and costing.

This is a high-impact role for someone who combines project discipline, remuneration expertise and strong stakeholder management. You’ll need to be comfortable working across multiple teams, keeping momentum high and ensuring deliverables are completed to a quality standard and on time.

  • Lead the delivery of EML’s remuneration benchmarking project across an approximately 450-employee workforce spanning multiple countries.
  • Partner with Aon and internal stakeholders to coordinate project activities, milestones, inputs and outputs across the benchmarking workstream.
  • Drive completion and uplift of job descriptions and related role documentation, working with leaders and managers to obtain high-quality information for roles in scope.
  • Facilitate and support position matching of EML roles to Aon’s Radford McLagan Compensation Database job catalogue, applying judgement and consistency across job families and levels.
  • Complete remuneration benchmarking using Aon market data and agreed position matches, including analysis of market competitiveness by role, function and workforce segment. The Aon brief notes that the benchmarking execution itself sits with EML.
  • Build costing and “cost to move” models to support decision-making and inform remuneration recommendations.
  • Support comparator market, market positioning and pay mix discussions by providing robust data, analysis and practical input into the broader remuneration framework.
  • Track project progress, identify risks and blockers, and actively follow up with managers and stakeholders to keep the project on schedule.
  • Prepare clear summaries and insights, including key findings, gaps and recommendations.

What you’ll bring

You’re a pragmatic remuneration or reward specialist who knows how to get things done in a complex business. You can work both strategically and in the detail, and you’re confident influencing stakeholders to deliver inputs on time. You’re comfortable navigating ambiguity, applying sound judgement and building structure where it is needed.

  • Demonstrated experience in remuneration, reward, people analytics, HR consulting or a similar role. Exposure to benchmarking and job evaluation / job architecture work important.
  • Strong project management capability, including the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders, manage timelines and drive outcomes in a fixed-term project environment.
  • Experience working with position descriptions, role levelling, job matching or market benchmarking methodologies.
  • Strong analytical capability, including experience interpreting remuneration data, preparing insights and building costing or scenario models.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to work with senior leaders and push for timely completion of deliverables where needed.
  • Strong written communication skills, including the ability to produce clear reports, summaries and executive-ready materials.
  • High attention to detail and sound judgement when assessing role content and aligning roles to benchmark data.
  • Strong Excel skills and confidence working with remuneration data sets and workforce information.
  • Experience working across geographically dispersed or matrixed organisations will be highly regarded.
  • Prior experience working with Aon / Radford data would be advantageous.
