As our highly valued Network Engineer based in Brisbane, your role will be a member of the Technology and Engineering Team within the Technology Office. The Technology and Engineering team works closely with the wider technology and business teams. As part of the Technology and Engineering team, you will work with our key technology systems, partners and vendors that provide Infrastructure, Cloud, Networking and Core Banking services. We deliver a consistent and reliable experience to help grow the business, improve efficiency, and support regulatory compliance. We maintain our service excellence by ensuring we meet and exceed SLAs, fulfil project needs, and continuously improve our capabilities.

You’ll make an impact by:
- Y ou will be responsible for assisting with the support, administration and maintenance of network infrastructure at Great Southern Bank
- Provide operationally focused input into network roadmap and improvement initiatives, ensuring changes are practical, supportable and aligned to risk and compliance requirements
- Implement and support secure, resilient networking solutions that balance availability, performance, cost and operational ris k
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- 5 to 8 years’ experience as a Network Engineer within a medium to large organisation, ideally operating in a regulated or mission-critical environment
- Hands-on experience supporting Cisco routing and switching environments, including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, HSRP and Spanning Tree, with demonstrated capability in fault isolation and production troubleshooting
- Operational experience supporting technologies such as Cisco Meraki (routing, switching and SD-WAN), Cisco ACI, Cisco ISE, Palo Alto next-generation firewalls, Zscaler ZIA and ZPA, Megaport and secure connectivity to AWS and Azure
- Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or a related discipline, or equivalent practical industry experience .
- Relevant vendor certifications in networking technologies, such as Cisco (examples: CCST, CCNA) and Palo Alto
