THE COMPANY
Our client is a major Australian banking institution, delivering a wide range of personal and business banking services across the country.
They are heavily investing in data, analytics, and AI capabilities to enhance customer experience, optimise product performance, and enable smarter, insight-led decision-making across the organisation.
The team you will join plays a critical role in shaping analytics products and driving value through data within the Personal Banking domain.
OUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partner with business stakeholders to understand use cases and identify opportunities for data-driven and AI-enabled solutions
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications and analytical deliverables
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting solutions to deliver actionable insights
- Apply advanced analytics and machine learning techniques to solve business problems
- Analyse large and complex datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and opportunities
- Define and standardise business metrics, data sources, and reporting frameworks
- Present insights and recommendations to stakeholders to influence decision-making
- Collaborate with cross-functional analytics and data teams across the organisation
- Support the delivery of scalable data solutions aligned to business priorities
- Ensure compliance with governance, risk, and data management standards
YOUR REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience in Data Analytics, Data Science, or Business Analysis roles
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, and/or PySpark
- Experience with data visualisation tools such as Power BI, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong understanding of data models, reporting metrics, and data pipeline concepts
- Experience working with large and complex datasets, including handling missing or unstructured data
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Ability to present insights clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Business, or a related discipline
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE
- Experience within banking or financial services, particularly in Personal Banking
- Exposure to customer analytics, product performance, or channel analysis
- Experience in presenting insights to senior stakeholders
- Experience in improving or optimising existing analytics frameworks or products
- Understanding of risk, compliance, and governance considerations in data environments
