The Role
At Mindpeak we have a dedicated ML team and a dedicated Tech Team, each with clear ownership. While the ML team focuses on model development and scientific validation, the Tech Team is responsible for production-grade software: backend services, data pipelines, workflow orchestration, and user-facing applications that bring AI safely and reliably into real-world diagnostics and pharma environments.
We are looking for an SVP Engineering to lead the Tech Team. Someone passionate for taking strong ownership of people leadership, team coordination, and modern engineering workflows.
The role focuses on leading and enabling the team in close cooperation with our VP engineering, providing structure and clarity, and driving the adoption of AI-agentic development workflows across Mindpeak.
You will play a key role in shaping how we build software in the future and in developing a new core product based on these AI-driven workflows.

Your Mission
- Take end-to-end responsibility for leading and developing our tech team of 12 software engineers in close cooperation with our VP Engineering, with a strong focus on communication, alignment, and ownership
- Take accountability for the timely delivery of product milestones, optimizing processes to remove roadblocks and ensure predictable outcomes.
- Enhance our culture of continuous improvement, constantly refining our software development lifecycle and elevating the team's operational excellence.
- Support and mentor developers, helping them grow technically and professionally
- Build up AI agentic development knowledge and workflows within Mindpeak (e.g. AI coding agents, agent-assisted development, automation)
- Translate these workflows into a new core product for Mindpeak once the foundation is established
- Act as a bridge between engineering, product, ML, and leadership
- Create clarity around priorities, responsibilities, and technical direction
- Ensure that the team stays focused, motivated, and effective without micromanagement
- Multiple years experience as Tech Lead, VP Engineering, CTO or similar in fast growing technology companies.
- Experience with or strong interest in AI coding agents and agentic development approaches
- Proven ability to keep an overview, structure complex topics, and communicate clearly across disciplines
- Comfortable working in an environment where technology, product, and AI research meet
- You genuinely enjoy leadership and communication and don’t see them as a necessary evil
- You are pragmatic, structured, and people-oriented
- You are curious about how AI can change the way software is built, not just what it can build
- You like taking responsibility and shaping things, rather than inheriting rigid processes
- You are comfortable working on eye level with senior leadership
