Barden is proud to be working with a top-tier multinational business in Cork as they embark on a major technology transformation across their global and local operations. They are looking for a skilled Scrum Master to join them on a contract basis to be their go-to person for applying Scrum to product high quality work. This role will support the development and adoption of agile ways of working - with an opportunity to work directly with the delivery teams under the direction of the PMO.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

  • Organise and facilitate iterative planning cycles, review sessions, and regular team check-ins.
  • Provide guidance to team members on Agile principles and practices.
  • Enable clear communication and collaboration within the team.
  • Act as a liaison for external stakeholders and communications.
  • Collaborate with product leadership to manage task backlogs and incoming requests.
  • Address team conflicts and remove impediments to progress.
  • Support teams in adopting and implementing process improvements.
  • Ensure outputs meet agreed quality standards at the end of each cycle.
  • Promote continuous improvement and maturity in Agile practices.
  • Foster a positive, accountable, and engaging team environment.
  • Offer advisory support to project leads and staff performing Agile or project management roles throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Present project portfolios, pipelines, and dependencies in governance or review forums.
  • Engage with central project governance and strategy groups on initiatives, policies, and processes, and support their local implementation.
  • Assist with project governance and audit compliance activities.

ABOUT THE PERSON:

  • Holds a certification in Scrum or equivalent Agile framework.
  • Formal qualification in project management would be advantageous.
  • 5 years plus of experience in a Scrum Master or similar delivery leadership role.
  • Strong background in Agile project management methodologies.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives, engage stakeholders, and present to senior audiences.
  • Experience mentoring or coaching team members in Agile practices.
  • Experience supporting project quality reviews and helping resolve delivery issues across teams.
  • Familiarity with common project management and collaboration tools (e.g., work tracking, planning, and productivity platforms).
  • Solid understanding of IT delivery environments and processes.
  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities, both written and verbal.
  • Effective organisational and coordination skills.
  • Strong interest in and advocacy for Agile ways of working.


Please note this is a hybrid working role based out of their one of their Cork offices.
