12 month Daily Rate Contract
2-3 days onsite per week in Cork
Our client is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to act as the go-to expert for Agile delivery. This role will be instrumental in driving the adoption and maturity of Agile ways of working across multiple delivery teams.
Working closely with project teams and under the guidance of the PMO, you will embed Scrum principles, ensure consistency in delivery practices, and help scale Agile methodologies across the wider organisation.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
- Coach and mentor team members in Agile frameworks and best practices
- Facilitate strong internal communication and collaboration
- Act as a key point of contact for stakeholder communications
- Partner with Product Owners to manage backlogs and evolving priorities
- Identify and remove blockers to ensure smooth delivery
- Support teams in implementing continuous improvements
- Ensure high-quality deliverables at the end of each sprint
- Drive increased Scrum maturity across development teams
- Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing team culture
- Provide consulting support to project managers and Agile practitioners across the organisation
- Present project pipelines, dependencies, and portfolio updates in governance forums
- Collaborate with global PMO and strategy teams to align on initiatives and best practices
- Support project governance, audit, and control processes
Requirements:
- Certified Scrum Master
- Project Management qualification (e.g. PMP, PMI or equivalent)
- 5+ years’ experience as a Scrum Master within IT or technology environments
- Strong background in Agile project delivery methodologies
- Proven experience managing multiple projects and stakeholders
- Experience presenting to senior leadership teams
- Track record of coaching project managers or IT teams in Agile practices
- Experience supporting project quality improvement and resolving delivery challenges
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, MS Project, and Office 365
- Solid understanding of IT delivery environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- IT project controls, audit, and quality assurance (preferred)
- Exposure to enterprise systems (e.g. ERP platforms) (preferred)
- Experience leading or shaping a Project Management function (preferred)
- Understanding of software development lifecycles and principles (preferred)
