ROLE SUMMARY:
King’s College School, Latvia, part of the prestigious Inspired Education Group, is seeking an exceptional Mathematics Teacher for next academic year. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver outstanding teaching at IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) level while contributing to curriculum development and driving innovation within the Mathematics Department. The successful candidate will inspire a love for mathematics, promote academic excellence, and foster problem-solving skills and analytical thinking among students.
Based in the scenic Saliena community just outside Riga, this position offers the opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art school while enjoying the rich cultural and natural beauty of Latvia.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deliver engaging and high-quality Mathematics lessons at IB Diploma Programme level, ensuring students achieve their academic potential.
- Foster mathematical reasoning, problem-solving, and critical thinking through innovative teaching and learning strategies.
- Track, evaluate, and report on student progress, ensuring timely feedback and targeted interventions.
- Contribute to curriculum development and the ongoing improvement of schemes of work, resources, and assessment practices.
- Encourage students to participate in extracurricular activities, such as math clubs, competitions, and STEM projects.
- Collaborate with colleagues across departments to support interdisciplinary learning opportunities.
- Utilize digital tools and platforms to enhance the teaching and learning experience.
- Contribute to the broader school community by supporting events, workshops, and parent engagement activities.
- A degree in Mathematics or a closely related discipline, along with a recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS).
- Proven experience teaching Mathematics at IB Diploma Programme level, with a track record of excellent student outcomes.
- Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring students to understand and appreciate mathematical concepts.
- A commitment to promoting critical thinking, global awareness, and intellectual curiosity.
- Confidence in integrating technology into lessons to create interactive and dynamic learning experiences.
- A collaborative approach, with a willingness to contribute to the school’s culture of innovation and academic excellence.
