Commercial Sales Manager Western / Southern Europe (m/f/d)
You will take operational commercial responsibility for tailor-made machine and plant engineering projects for Western and Southern European customers, with a focus on new plants and plant modernization business. Project scope comprises A, B and C projects. You act as the principal commercial point of contact and representative for all commercial and contractual matters relating to assigned projects, both internally and externally.
Your Main Tasks
- Lead sales projects together with the respective Project Manager Sales from tender phase to successful commercial closure and handover to order execution teams
- Develop tailored commercial concepts and contribute actively to the definition of project winning strategies
- Prepare bid/no bid assessments and strategic project analyses in pre-sales phases
- Conduct customer meetings and coordinate financing models for customers in cooperation with financial services division
- Coordinate with all involved project stakeholders (e.g. global support functions, affiliated companies, consortium partners) and ensure proper alignment with Project Manager Sales and Project Owner Sales
- Determine special direct costs of sales, check plausibility of cost calculations and prepare commercial offer conditions.
- Prepare and lead contract negotiations with customers and/or consortium partners
- Maintain commercial overview, perform sales project controlling and ensure regular reporting to the Region Europe Management Team
- Support and align with direct services business in the region
- Identify and exploit sales opportunities / potentials systematically
- Participate and represent the company at trade fairs, seminars and relevant business industry events.
- University degree in Business Administration or equivalent
- Several years proven experience in setting up and commercially leading sales projects in the capital goods / investment goods sector (preferably in the metal-producing and metal-processing industry)
- General technical understanding for complex machines, plants and technical solutions
- Strong negotiation, communication and presentation skills; high customer orientation
- Fluent in English and French; Additional fluent German would be an advantage (optional)
- High reliability, resilience, flexibility and team orientation
- Organizational skills with a sense of responsibility
- Willingness to travel within Europe.
