We are looking for a hands-on professional who combines scientific rigor with an entrepreneurial spirit to support the development of next-generation materials.
Research and Development Laboratory Technician (M/F/D) (20 hours/week)
Key Responsibilities:
- Safety First: Work in laboratory and production environments safely, including the identification and use of appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for handling chemicals.
- Independent Testing: Perform laboratory tests under minimal supervision.
- Equipment Care: Maintain the operational capability and calibration of laboratory equipment.
- Data Support: Acquire and manage data to support ongoing development programs.
- Coordination & Reporting: Coordinate test requests, verify results, and write comprehensive technical reports.
- R&D Support: Assist in test preparation, execution, and analysis, as well as complaint investigations and quality control.
Qualifications:
- Education: A Bachelor’s Degree (BS) in Material Science, Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline. We also highly value candidates with specialized technical diplomas, including:
- Advanced Technical Degrees (e.g., BTS, DT, or equivalent). Specialized Laboratory Certifications (e.g., Laboratory Technician, Chemical-Technical Assistant, or BAC Techno STL).
- Equivalent international certifications in Laboratory Science are also welcome.
- Experience: Several years of practical experience in a Material Science laboratory is a strong advantage.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with laboratory method development, method validation, and statistical analysis.
- Languages: Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of German, French, or Luxembourgish is a significant plus.
