Headquartered in San Francisco, our investors include **Benchmark**, **General Catalyst**, **Peter Thiel**, **Adam D'Angelo**, **Larry Summers**, and **Jack Dorsey**. **Position:** Software Engineer **Type:** **Contract** **Compensation:** **$100/hour** **Location:** **Remote** **Duration:** **1 month** **Commitment:** **20 hours/week** ## Role Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain complex, production-grade **Python** systems for real-world environments. - Design modular, testable codebases using modern **Python** tooling and best practices like **FastAPI**, **Pydantic**, and unit/integration testing frameworks. - Optimize performance through profiling and memory optimization in **Python**. - Work **independently and asynchronously** to meet deadlines while improving **AI model performance**. - Collaborate with **AI research teams** to enhance training data quality and model outputs. ## Qualifications ### Must-Have
- Proven track record of building and maintaining complex **Python** systems. - Deep understanding of **Python** language fundamentals, including decorators, generators, async/await, and context managers. - Experience designing modular, testable codebases with modern **Python** tooling. ## Interview Process - **90 mins** human interview centered on **Python**. - Feedback within two weeks. ## Compensation & Legal - **Hourly contractor** - **$100/hour** based on experience ## Application Process (Takes 20–30 mins to complete)
