About The Finance Team

At Dealroom.co, the Finance Team plays a critical role in supporting our mission to provide intelligence on high-growth companies and the innovation economy. Our Finance Team is a small but high-impact group of three: our CFO, Senior Financial Controller and this new role we’re looking to fill. Together, we oversee financial planning, reporting, compliance and strategic analysis to ensure that Dealroom operates with transparency and efficiency. From streamlining our internal controls to supporting fundraising and investor reporting, we’re deeply integrated into every layer of the company’s growth journey. We actively look for ways to modernize our finance stack, including automation and AI-enabled tools, to support Dealroom’s growth efficiently and accurately.

We’re now looking for a talented Accountant to join us. You’ll be an essential part of a collaborative and experienced finance team and work alongside a broader company of driven, curious and ambitious professionals. This role offers the opportunity to learn quickly, contribute meaningfully from day one and grow your skills in a supportive environment that values both independence and teamwork.

As an Accountant, you’ll

  • Cash Management: Prepare the weekly payments and own the timely collection of outstanding receivables.

  • Financial Reporting Support: Assist in preparing internal and external financial reports, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow statements.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as Sales and Customer Success, to ensure smooth financial processes and accurate data flow.
  • Process Improvement: Actively contribute to improving finance processes by identifying inefficiencies and proposing practical, tech-driven solutions. Explore, test, evaluate and recommend optimizations for tools, software and AI-enabled workflows to streamline finance operations, improve accuracy and reduce manual work.

What We Bring To The Deal

  • Ownership: A role where you truly own your work. Show us your capabilities and we’ll support your growth.
  • Comprehensive Benefits: Enjoy benefits like a laptop of your choice, flexible hours, a fully equipped home office setup, unlimited holidays, weekly workout sessions and more.
  • Global & Inclusive Culture: Join a diverse team spanning over 25 nationalities.
  • Vibrant Workplace: We typically spend 2 - 3 days a week at our Amsterdam West office to foster face-to-face collaboration, while working remotely for the remainder.
  • Meritocratic Environment: We value entrepreneurial thinking and are committed to turning innovative ideas into reality.
