The EMEA Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for reconciling vendor accounts, for maintaining clean and reliable account records and support financial reporting and compliance.

Job Responsibilities

  • Reconcile vendor accounts and resolve discrepancies and payment issues
  • Communication with vendors and internal stakeholders to process blocked invoices
  • Prepares and process payments and monitor payment schedule
  • Codes invoices with correct general ledger / subledger accounts, conforming to standard procedures to ensure proper entry into the financial system
  • Maintain accurate historical financial and system records and manage supporting documents
  • Generate reports and assist with month-end closing tasks
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and financial regulations
  • Improve processes: create and update SOPs, contribute to projects and deliver ad-hoc reports

Core Skills/Competency Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in accounting or finance
  • Experience in a multinational or corporate environment preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and being detail oriented with the ability to work independently as well as effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP is a plus.
